What can a focus on culture do for my school/business?

Culture is a collection of values, beliefs, and ways of working together held by any organization. Every school/org has it’s own culture. By exposing and understanding the values and beliefs that an organization has about itself, we can be honest about those values and beliefs and in being honest we can confront them. We can also begin the work of changing them; that’s the leverage point.

How does culture support the work of an organization?

A culture that works together, that succeeds and fails together (and knows it) will evaluate ideas together, support ideas together, and do everything it can to build better. Of course, a culture that doesn’t work together is less likely to have group buy-in and engagement, is more prone to bickering and self-sabotage, and will resist changes made to process and structure.

Why does psychological safety matter?

When someone is psychologically safe, they become more able to show up as their whole selves – bringing fuller ideas and engagement to their work. Psychological safety builds trust, and trust builds higher-functioning teams who are more willing to collaborate with leadership and with each other.

What does InSightEd do that’s different?

We combine the use of technology (using a proprietary program and AI) to parse the results of our introductory survey. That survey, and interviews with the client org, forms the basis of our recommendations for an organization’s growth. We can create custom programming for each school/org to fit their individual needs and differences.

How do we become more culturally aware?

We learn to recognize the stories that we tell ourselves about ourselves, our colleagues, our work and how we choose to show up in times of stress and uncertainty. Self-awareness leads the ability to be aware of the systems that we work and exist in.
